Hi! I was looking for reviews on Kidder's 2007 book on Yamatai when I found your blog. I've only had the time to read that and your latest post, but I am really looking forward to read your other articles. I too am an "enthusiastic amateur" when it comes to Ancient History. I've been focusing my research and writing on Jomon but am now interested in learning more about subsequent periods: now I'll know where to start thanks to your books recommendations!

Please keep up the great work!

Hello Nagaeyari. Great blog on Japanese history. You seem very thorough. I see you have the Samurai Archives notated. He's a good friend of mine. Anyhow, keep it up, and best wishes on the studies!
